Google takes a stand. They are annonying, but so what? Ads are how sites make money, and like it or not, they're not going away anytime soon. One of the beauties of dial-up is you can close pop-ups or -unders before they build.

No, really. How was your day?

Welcome, potential thief! In the last couple of days, no fewer than half of my search engine referrals have been from people looking for "Homesite crack." (I don't have one, I was kidding about that 'welcome' thing, go away.) And you wonder why things like Product Activation get thought up.

WTC? Or WTF?

Despite its new Macromedia box and graphics, the interface to HomeSite 5 is just as ugly as it ever was.

Trader Joe's has something I wish I'd known about when we were spending $70 a bottle for Cosequin: Glucosamine and Chondroitin capsules in their pet department for dirt cheap... I think it was $8.99 or $6.99 or something like that. Folks with achy dogs should check it out.

I do believe today IS the twelfth day of Christmas. Lights down by Monday, please. People who do the piss-poorest job of hanging Christmas lights are the same people who keep them up the longest.

Since I had Tofurky for Thanksgiving, today, for ... uh, ... the twelfth day of Christmas?... I made an UnTurkey. Both are pretty good (insert "considering" here, if you must), dogs enjoy both immensely, and I get a week's worth of leftovers without asking anything to give up its life. Memo to self for next year: Skip the step of basting the UnTurkey with wine and oil, as it seems to serve no useful purpose other than to make it greasy. More realistic for some, possibly... I've heard of people who drape bacon strips over their turkeys. Probably the same people who are grossed out over tofu. UnTurkey stuffing very fresh-tasting. Tofurky makes good sandwiches. Will report back on the UnTurkey sandwiches, although I seem to have sent all the potato bread with you.

Not nearly enough information on this fantasy baseball thing, but you may want to look at it anyway.
