More space stuff, with a media-junkie slant: Dateline Moon at Newseum.

Am I this out of touch? It just never occurred to me that such a place existed.

All of a sudden, I'm starting to agree with Jakob. Oh, and here's Jakob parodies galore.

I was just over at drugstore.com. Yes, I read the source. The first 500 lines are interesting.

Pretty darn funny article about Cartoon Cars at Slate.

Hon, the next time you're on eBay, could you check for flame throwers or rocket launchers? A little gift for the delightful neighbors.....

It's cool that Life Magazine has stuff on the site going back decades. Here's a photo essay from 1948, Country Doctor. The old space stuff is cool too.

If your computer ever starts playing classical music for no apparent reason, Microsoft knows why.

Most sites that go belly up at least let users know. AccessMagazine apparently sent home every last person who could update the site.

"Cat's in the Cradle" is the best one.

Feeling nitpicky? Report self-washing cars and wrong-way bullet holes at Movie Mistakes. For more of this sort of thing, there's always Slip-ups, which also has TV bloopers and Easter eggs.

This:
No spell check for banner ads
is a screenshot of a real banner ad I saw on cnet today. Netscape gives me "nighmares" too.

Went to this site to check out their shareware. Eyebrow went up at site design, back button hit, no sale for you.

I watched "Meltdown at Three Mile Island" on PBS last night. Some recent polls have shown that, because of the current energy situation, more people are in favor of nuclear power. They should be strapped down to watch this.

It might freak me out if I heard songbirds singing "Sweet Child O' Mine."
6/13/2001 1:35 PM

Who is worse: Timothy McVeigh or Ford Motor?
6/13/2001 6:55 AM

Today at work we are finding it amusing that the Pravda website has a section called "Accidents" at the top of its story nav.

See there now, are glasses so bad?

New and creative uses for Flash. Makes your machine all clean. Tells all your friends.

Doesn't this sound like a fun book? Doesn't this sound like a not fun book?
6/4/2001 4:25 PM

Wagons are hip. Ahead of my time, again.
6/4/2001 1:47 PM

Oh dear freaking god, I give up. Forget about that "kissed and made up" comment below. Back to posting by hand.

The great blog hoax of 2001: End of the whole Kaycee mess.

Plowing through a box of Goldfish crackers, I decided to take them up on their offer to visit pfgoldfish.com, where they then offered me a ScreenMate, and of course I took the bait, only to find two pages later that it's "almost ready." As they say on the Simpsons: "Yoink!"

Then, of course, I began to wonder what's at goldfish.com. I'll save you a trip: It's a long useless Flash splash screen then some credit card crap.

If you can read this, then Blogger and I have kissed and made up. However, considering that it's this early in the morning and still had trouble connecting, we're not that hopeful. So ignore this, it's a test and I may soon be wishing Blogger back into the cornfield. Also, since this is now effectively a clean slate, you'll have to look in the archive for any content.
